History Day in the Park

Sarasota County community and visitors are invited to discover all our "yesterdays" in one sunny Saturday, March 25, from 10-5, at Phillippi Estate Park, 5500 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
Local history is being presented by member groups of the Sarasota Coalition, by focusing on historic places, people and events that have formed our present-day communities.
This one-day festival features speakers, music, Sailor Circus, authors, historic displays vendors, raffle, and children's activities. Betty Intagliata will portray Bertha Palmer inside the Edson Keith Mansion. Paul Intagliata will portray John Ringling.
Parking is free, and this event would be a highlight for a family outing. Donations and proceeds will fund work on the Keith Farmhouse on the property. The house will eventually be opened, free to the public, as the Interpretive Center of Life on the Creek.
Come and celebrate our amazing history with the general public! Mark your calendars now.
Please stop by the VAHS booth inside the Mansion.
