Scholarships

In harmony with its emphasis on education and community outreach, VAHS annually awards two scholarships to deserving graduating seniors at Venice High School:  The Sue Chapman Scholarship, established 2013; and The William Jervey Scholarship, established 2014.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA


A recipient must be a college-bound Venice High School senior who demonstrates financial need and has an interest in historical studies, as evidenced by the following or other related achievements:

  • A GPA in history courses of at least 3.25
  • Participation in regional or national History Day competitions
  • History-related extracurricular activities such as History Club or volunteer work at a historic site or similar experiences that reflect the student's area of historical interest.
