Betty Intagliata


Betty Intagliata, a former history teacher, served as VAHS’s first president.  For thirty years, Betty has been organizing the free educational programs which VAHS currently presents to the public as “The Betty Intagliata Lecture Series.”  This program has permanent funding provided by the Bill Jervey, Jr. Charitable Foundation.

In 2003, Betty initiated tours of the newly restored Historic Venice Train Depot and established the Depot Docent Program, serving as a docent herself for many years.  Betty has served as VAHS president six times.
