Bethany Behrmann

After growing up on Florida’s east coast, Bethany spent many years in Asheville, NC as well a time in Boston, Hungary and Mexico.  She speaks conversational Spanish and travels often—especially to Mexico, where she has a longstanding love for San Miguel de Allende.  She credits these experiences for her deep appreciation for architecture, history and culture.

As a local real estate advisor, she loves not just sharing her passion about architecture and design but loves sharing the stories, the less known facts and getting people excited about the sweet and rich history or our area.  Whether guiding people through a historic home or introducing them to a neighborhood shaped decades ago, Bethany sells the stories behind the streets and structures.

“What makes this area so special is its deep sense of history and the generosity of the people who call it home.  Helping someone find their place here—and a way to plug into the community—is incredibly fulfilling.”

Now living on Venice Island with her husband and their two dogs, Bethany embraces the rhythms of coastal life—morning walks, evening bike rides, and yes, even shark tooth hunting.  A recent graduate of Leadership Venice, Bethany is actively involved in the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, Venice Area Historical Society, Venice Art Center, Venice Heritage Inc., and SRQ Impact 100.  Supporting the community and supporting local business is at the heart of what she does, and if you want to find her, you may find her at the Lord-Higel House, doing both.
